Karnataka political crisis – Yeddyurappa Resigns

Exactly after a week since he became the Chief Minister of Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa on Monday resigned from office after its coalition partner Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) withdrew support to his government. The Janata Dal (Secular) party said it would oppose him in a confidence vote. Even with this Yeddyurappa went ahead to face the confidence vote but quit minutes before the voting took place.

Yeddyurappa was sworn in as Chief Minister November 12. Governor Rameshwar Thakur directed him to prove his majority before November 20. Yeddyurappa had become Chief Minister days after he changed his name from Yediyurappa to Yeddyurappa.He even officially notified the change through an affidavit dated October 11. But the stars seems to have failed Yeddy!!
