Honganasu Kannada Movie Review
After Nenapirali, director Rathnaja has given a sentimental family story with a touch of Kerala culture. Though it doesn’t measure up to the previous film’s standard, Honganasu has its own features thanks to the ‘Rathnaja style.’
Though the narration is neat and the script is good, the director has to trim the length which tests your patience in this film about how an elderly man dreams of the perfect daughter-in-law.
Anant Nag wants Sowmya (Anuradha Mehta), the daughter of the character played by Ramesh Bhat, to marry his eldest son Santhosh (Adarsha). Both the families agree to this proposal. But there is a hitch. Anant Nag’s daughter Shilpa (Jayashri Raj) doesn’t clear the path for Santhosh’s marriage as she keeps rejecting all the proposals she gets.
Santhosh’s brother Sagar (Prem) is close to Sowmya and to fulfil his father’s dream he makes all the effort to get Shilpa married so that Sowmya comes to his house as his sister-in-law. In the process, he undergoes several difficulties. How does he face them?
Prem has done a neat job with a role which suits him perfectly. Anant Nag is graceful. Anuradha and Anjali have given their best. Sharan excels in comical sequences. Hamsalekha is the master of the film with his excellent numbers. Source: timesofindia.indiatimes.com
