Bharti Airtel Ltd. has entered the Kannada cinema industry with artiste/director Ramesh Aravind’s “significant” film “Accident”, slated for April, in the form of providing ring tones, hello tunes and wallpapers. Interestingly, the City police has also joined hands by educating people on growing traffic hazards.

Mr. Aravind said that associating the purposeful film with Airtel and the Traffic Police would initially look bizarre, as they were totally unrelated. But it was an “idea” for a public purpose he said.

Artiste Pooja Gandhi, who has played a lead role in the film, spoke of the thematic importance of the film.
