With the success of Tamil movie ‘Polladhavan’ Ramya aka Divya should be on the moon. But the lady seems to be a bit angry. Even though she has been flooded with lots of offers from both Kannada and Tamil cinema’s there are no offers from Telugu for her. When we asked her why, she burst out angrily saying that she is not intrested in offers from Telugu. Later when she cools down a little she adds that her first 2 movies in Telugu did not do well and hence the lack of offers from Tollywood.
Discussing this she says that there is a lot of sentiment followed there and importance of good talent has gone down. Kannada and Tamil cinema industries are the best.
At present Divya is busy shooting for Tamil movie Gautham Menon’s ‘Varanam Aayiram’ opposite Surya. She is also eagerly waiting for the release of her ‘Thoondil’ for which she has donned a downbeat role. This actress has also signed a Kannada film with Prabhu Deva where she will be spotted in the role of a commercial sex-worker. Ace cameraman and director Santosh Sivan will direct this film.
Looks like her name change has worked out in Kannada and Tamil. It is yet to workout in Telugu. Patience pays…
