Mother of Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan and wife of distinguished Hindi poet Harivansah Rai Bachchan, 93 year old Teji Bachchan passed away on Friday.
Teji breathed her last at the Lilavati Hospital here where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Teji has been in ill health and in the hospital for a long time. She is the last link between the Bachchan and the Gandhi family with Teji and her husband becoming friends with the Nehru-Gandhi family in Allahabad.
